A worthy cause

[Dave Birch] Our good friend Leo van Hove from the Free University of Brussels, who will be on one of the expert panels at the 2007 Forum, has written a piece for a Geldkarte magazine.  It’s called "Fighting Cash is a Worthy Cause" and I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Hadn’t you heard?  Prepaid instruments — of which cash is the most widespread — are a godsend to terrorists, criminals and other ne’erdowells.

Incidentally, the Aussies have opened up another front in the war on cash with some suggesting that cash should be banned in slot machines.  With the arrival the first super-casino in Britain now imminent, we should probably go the same way shouldn’t we?
