[Dave Birch] Not really anything to do with Digital Money, but I’m one of the judges for this year’s CNET UK Business Technology Awards and they are looking for nominations in a variety of categories (see below) so I was wondering if any Digital Identity Denizens had any suggestions for payment-related products and services. If any of you have other suggestions then do scoot over to the web site and fill out a nomination form.

The CNET Networks UK Business Technology Awards are divided into four groups.

Supplier Awards: These award categories are targeted at vendor organisations which have launched innovative technologies and products that are making a real difference to the way companies do business.

Server or Storage Product of the Year

Business Application of the Year

Networking Product of the Year

Security Product or Service of the Year

Communications Product or Service of the Year

Mobile Product or Service of the Year

Technology Innovation of the Year

User Awards: These award categories are targeted at user organisations which have implemented technologies in new ways to achieve outstanding and tangible results.

Public Sector Technology Project of the Year

Financial Services Technology Project of the Year

Retail & Leisure Sector Technology Project of the Year

Technology Outsourcing Project of the Year

Green IT Initiative of the Year

Campaign Awards: These award categories are targeted at agencies and vendor organisations which have promoted technologies through innovative campaigns and have driven awareness and/or sales from the target audience.

Technology Marketing Campaign of the Year

Technology PR Campaign of the Year

Individual Excellence Awards: These award categories recognise the individuals or organisations which have made the most important and demonstrable impact on the UK technology industry over the last year.

IT Team of the Year

IT Community Hero of the Year

CIO of the Year.

I’m sure you can all think of some excellent nominees for all of these categories so I look forward to seeing the entries rolling in!

These opinions are my own (I think) and presented solely in my capacity as an interested member of the general public [posted with ecto]
